ZOOMERS & SENIORS

Love Indoor Bowls!

Hello everyone,

If you're looking for a new activity that offers mild exercise, a bit of friendly competition and great socializing for your active seniors, consider introducing them to Carpet Bowling, a popular indoor, scaled-down version of Lawn Bowling. Although it has some similarity to Curling, it's nothing like "Alley" bowling with pins.

The basics can be learned in a few minutes, and members can be playing on a team their first time out. Usually there are no fixed teams as they are drawn by chance every week. No special clothing is needed , except flat-soled shoes. The equipment is provided by your centre.

I invite you to investigate this new socio-sport.

Cheers,

Mario Battista,

Old Sport Enjoying Major Renaissance

Carpet Bowling is becoming an increasingly popular activity of choice for those managing Community Centres & Retirement Homes for seniors. It offers great social and physical activity requiring little supervision and little money to get started. All you really need is a special carpet and a set of carpet bowls. Other accessories are optional. One set-up can accomodate up to 8 players.

Dales Bowls Canada, in the past 10 years, has become the “Go To” Company for Indoor Bowls by leading a Bowls Renaissance of its own. We take this leadership role very seriously. We are grateful for the support of forward thinking clients from coast to coast, north and south of the border, who appreciate our product innovations and marketing initiatives.
